My main research focus is in the area of Nanotoxicology and Aquatic Ecotoxicology. Primarily, I am interested in how non-soluble suspended materials of anthropogenic origin - mainly nanoparticles and microplastics - affect organisms in freshwater and marine environments (on sublethal levels), and how can they potentially alter the function of aquatic ecosystems.
